Going to my Grandmothers funeral today

Last night was the visitation and it was like a family reunion for me.I saw relatives I haven't seen since I was 8 years old.Everyone was so friendly and much warmer than I remembered them being.
My sister, Mother,niece,my husband and child were with me so I felt pretty confident to begin with.We entered the Pentecostal church my father built with his own two hands and memories flooded my mind.All the familiar faces of family from long ago were standing in a crowd like they were relieved that we actually came.I feel I made peace with my fear of my fathers people.My childhood nightmares were from that church and all those same faces that welcomed me know.
It seems my grandmother gave me this gift of reality,that I stood before all the family and I finally felt strong,confident,happy and not like an outsider.My whole life I have had terror of a moment that would force me to be among this group of people that I am related to and now,I see they were not the demons I imagined,just regular folk.

My Grandmother died yesterday

New Years had a bad start for me.My fathers mother passed away suddenly yesterday morning.
She and I were not very close.I never spent any time with her since I have been an adult.Everyone was at the hospital,all of her kids and grandkids, tears by the gallon from every eye.I did not cry because I have no memories of her.My Grandmother was almost a stranger to me and my sister.We were raised by our Mother and her parents.As a child I saw her often but I did not like her, she was so different from the way I was raised.
Yesterday I stood before her lifeless body and I shed 2 or 3 tears for her family that grieved for her.I felt sad for my father and his brothers and sister and my grandfather.I did feel bad for myself simply because I had no memory of any relationship between her and myself.I left the hospital feeling strange and empty.
I have lost the Grandparents that raised me when I was in my twenties.My heart still hurts from that loss.I was sad on New Years eve because it was my grandfathers birthday and I missed him.
Now I have one Grandparent left,but I do not know him.I am sad for his loss and I will be at the funeral to support the family even though I am a stranger among them.

If anyone wonders what I will be doing tonight,I will be sleeping when the New Year ball drops.I go to bed at 10 now because that is what time little Jackson goes to sleep.My hubby may not be playing tonight which will make this our first New Years together. In the past 9 years he has had a gig with one of his bands,sometimes I would go watch but we never shared a New Years kiss or even said Happy New Years to one another. Too bad we will be in bed sleeping when we finally get to spend the last day of the year together.
My Grandfathers birthday would have been today. He passed away 2 1/2 years ago.I miss him today. I loved him very much. He raised me and my sister, he was the best father in the world.

a question for people with babies

I have not been able to find much time for blogging lately.Jack has my attention most the time.
Jack is just now 5 months old but he screams like crazy if you ever put him down.My family has to pass him around so we can do anything like eat or use the bathroom.Is this normal??I do not know if he is actually spoiled or if most babies never get put down when they are awake.I don't know many ladies with babies so I would love to hear from anyone that knows about babies.If I should put him down and let him cry how much crying is okay before I should pick him up again??He cries real tears as soon as I try to put him in a seat or on the bed and he screams like he is in pain even though I know he is not in pain,just lonely. What do you think??

Jack has developed a fear of strangers already and he is only 4 and a half months old!Last night I took him to visit some friends and when they tried to hold him and love on him he screamed and cried like he was being killed.This made my lady friends feel bad and they kept trying to make him like them but it only caused more crying from Jack.I felt panicked and tried to make excuses that he was just tired but also I just wanted to grab him and leave because I felt so sad that he was that scared.
I have a picture from last night of him crying in the arms of one of my friends.I will put it up later.Poor Jack,I never knew babies developed fears of strangers at such a young age.

Do you feel guilty at Christmas?

I always feel like I have never bought enough presents or that the gifts I did buy are not the right ones.I feel like I don't make enough food or the food that everyone wants.I just end up feeling worried and unhappy when Christmas comes around.I never have enough money and I never decorate enough.
I have great Christmas spirit but I still just wish every Christmas could be prettier then the last.I get all excited thinking about the holidays and all these warm feelings of my childhood come to me but when the holiday gets here I just do not get those feelings anymore.I guess I am way too old to enjoy Christmas with that same childish wonder but it would be nice.
Do any of you get the Christmas Blues??

Dairy products kill me

Last night while I was sleeping so peacefully in my warm bed I awoke to terrible pain.I sat right up,sweat was pouring down my face and I felt like I was going to barf right then and there.I got up and ran to the bathroom when the green apple splatters took over.I hate to saying like this but I was pissing out of my butt!!!!!!
I spent about a good hour in the bathroom before trying to go back to bed only to end up back in the bathroom just moments later.
What was happening to me???Well,I got a bad case of the cheese!I am allergic to dairy and I have been my whole life but I have a secret love affair with dairy products and sometimes dairy doesn't want to see me anymore so I get dumped,literally!
Anyway, some people are lactose intolerant but I got the real allergy.It's a hard life for us people that want nothing but dairy and end up with the barfs and the poops.
Just thought I would share that with you.

I do not tell Richard often enough that he is a stand up kind of guy and a wonderful father.
He is a wonderful person too.
Never in my life have I ever met a man that is as nice as he is.He is never mean,never acts all tough and old fashioned.
I really like my Richard.
Richard gets up at night with the baby,he changes diapers all throughout most days,If Jack gets shots I can see Richard getting upset while he stands in the back ground.
My Richard is a talented singer and musician.He can play any instrument and write songs all day.
He never complains,is always faithful,will not argue with anyone and he is good to his parents!
I can't tell you how wonderful he is,I could go on forever.He is just one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

I won a giveaway to Magnet Street Baby and it was for 100 bucks!! Wow, I thought that was so awesome. However, I just found out that you have to pay shipping and shipping is very expensive at Magnet Street baby. So, they just basically told me they would pass it on to some one else and I end up with nothing.I am getting tired of winning giveaways that are not real. I have won things that never came even though I kept emailing them and they would not respond.Also winning giveaways that do not tell you specific facts or catches to winning the giveaway. I really wanted to make magnets for Christmas to give out to my family and didn't get any made because I won this giveaway which really turned out to be a discount.The prices are way too high any way. I checked out other card and magnet making places with much better prices and way cheaper shipping.
Oh well, I just wanted to get that off my chest.

All I want for Christmas is to keep my teeth

All of my teeth have cavities right now.The cold air outside sends throbbing pain through my teeth.Cold and hot drinks make me cringe.We just do not have the money right now to get all the dental work I need.We barely have enough money to fix one tooth.
Eating nothing but sugar all my life must be the fault of my tooth decay but it is too late now to bother with where the blame comes from.
Maybe one day I can't get a nice set of dentures!!Ha ha!! Lets hope that it doesn't get to that point!

My sister had a great idea about what to give the husband for Christmas.Make a coupon booklet for things like a free back massage,a coupon for sex,one for a meal made just the way he likes it,one to let him win an arguement.You know,that sort of thing.That is a great idea,huh?? You could make it to fit your own relationship or you could make a booklet for another family member other than your husband.Just do not hand the booklets to the wrong person.Could be bad if you gave your father in-law your husbands booklet!Ha ha!!
Anyway, what would your husband like in a coupon booklet if you made one for him??? Let me know,don't be shy!

Thanksgiving and a giveaway question

Thanksgiving is certainly harder this year!!Having a small baby and cooking is almost impossible.I am cooking the Turkey today and preparing some of the sides because some things take lots of time.I feel stressed.I am hoping next year it might be a little easier,if not then I am not cooking.I know now that we will not be having a Christmas dinner,well,not with turkey and all that.I think I will make finger foods for Christmas this year.

Poor sick babies

My niece and my baby boy are still both sick with there colds.My niece Delilah had never been sick before so she is not taking this so well.It scares her that she can't breathe through her nose.Jack has the same trouble.
I bought Jack a teething ring today and I got Delilah a new sippy cup and a little guitar.I am just trying to keep there spirits up.
I also have this cold and boy,it is hanging on!!!I feel like I will never have a clear nose again.

A poor man's latte

I know that everyone loves Starbucks but with the economy being so crappy we can't afford to go have our fav. coffee's every day. So, i am just going to let you in on something i realized.You can make a latte at home that is almost as good as the real thing,almost.
All you need to do is brew your coffee a little stronger than usual,heat up some chocolate in the bottom of your fav. mug and then heat about a fourth a cup of milk in that same mug,then poor the coffee on top and add a ittle cool whip or whipped cream and you can add some cocoa powder on top or crushed peppermints.I experimented and it's pretty dang good to me!

A recipe using POM pomegranate juice

Here is a recipe for an easy pomegranate chocolate fudge!!!!!!!!
3 1/2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 14 0z can of sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup of POM pomegranate juice
and some nuts if you have them(any kind will do)

Place the chocolate chps,sweetened condensed milk and butter in large microwavable bowl.Put in microwave on medium until chips are melted,about 3 to 5 minutes,stirring once during cooking.Stir in POM pomegranate juice and nuts and microwave for 30 more seconds.Pour into well grease
8 by 8 inch glass baking dish.Refrigerate until set.

This taste so wonderful you really won't believe it.I love it because it's quick,easy and yummy!

Well, yesterday was my 30th birthday which was nice even though I felt weird about being 30.I got lovely gifts and birthday wishes so that made me happy.
I also found out that my great Uncle Paul passed away.I did not know him too well but I felt sad because so many of the relatives that meant so much to my grandparents have now gone,my grandparents are dead now as well. It just makes me sad.

My husband will be on Gene Simmon's famiy Jewels when the new season comes on.My husband is Daddy Rich and he is one of the best blues musicians that I have ever heard.well,Nick Simmons is the son of Gene and he is singing one of my husbands songs while my husband and his band play behind him. I think this will air sometime next March or April.Also, my husband will be on this season Of little people big world.So, watch out for Daddy Rich because he may be going places very soon!!

Since I have had Jack 2 months ago I have been feeling kind of down in the dumps.I feel unattractive and boring.Most of my focus is on the baby but when he is napping I think about how boring and fat and messy I am.

I started smoking again just weeks after he was born but I started back just so I would have a reason to go outside.I don't want to smoke but cigarettes have become my friend.They have been like a friend for me off and on for many years.I guess they are like a friend that slowly kills you.Weird,huh?

I entered a giveaway yesterday and won an IPod which is totally awesome because I was hoping to win something for my husbands birthday! It won't be here in ime for his big day but very close to it and that makes me one happy lady!!!!

I have to take the baby to his doctor tomorrow and see if maybe we can change his formula to Soy because his milk allergy is pretty bad!I was also allergic to milk as a baby and the doctor says that it is passed on to our children,weird,huh?

My babay screams so much.He screams all the time.He is in no pain other than maybe some gas pain but he has been to the doctor and he is healthy.Jack is almost 2 months old.How long will he do this?? Is it normal??When will I ever sleep again??I am so tired and stressed even though my wonderful family is here to help me out.I sometimes feel like a terrible mother.I have horrible thoughts late at night when he cries.I would never hurt him but some nights I curse at him and I cry and almost wish things could go back to the way they were before I got pregnant.I hear that feeling this way is normal but it makes me feel so awful!

I have been so busy caring for my newborn that I haven't hardly had time to brush my hair so I certainly have not been able to blog.I will start back now but it will be short and sweet and not nearly as often.
I will have pictures sometime today of my nieces Ballerina birthday party!!! She turned one and we had a fun little party.Her mommy sure put on the dog for her.My sister is a wonderful mom.

I must be honest and say that lately all I want to do is sleep and spend time with my husband. The end of this pregnancy makes me feel like avoiding all the people that I am friends with. I just feel so annoyed and easily anxious. I wonder if it is normal to be so reclusive at the end of pregnancy??

After all the giveaway madness and all the 400 giveaways I entered,I managed to only win 2 giveaways.I won an awesome 10 dollar Amazon card and I won a cute bag and gift card for Target.So, I did win two giveaways but after all that hard work,I expected to win maybe 2 more. I know, I am lucky to have won anything at all.So, what did you win???
I went to the hospital today and spent hours being abused or treated,whatever you call it. I was so worried they were going to take my baby today but they changed there minds and decided things looked good enough for now so they let me come home.I am getting soooo tired of the fear and worry. I want to have this baby soon and get on with life.

Yup,I am going to the hospital on Saturday morning and I may have the baby that day or I may be put in to the hospital for bed rest for a few days. I am not exactly sure but I have a feeling I will be having the baby that day or very,very soon.

I have been entering so many of these Bloggy Giveaways that I now need glasses! I really better win a few things because as many as I have entered I have wasted so much of my life on this already! I guess I am just tired. Hello! Nothing new going on. I went to my doctor today and she said that next week we will make a date for when I will be having my little baby.I am excited that in three weeks I will have my little Jackson!

Hospitals suck

So, My blood pressure got a little too high today and I ended up going to the hospital just to play it safe.I guess I forgot how terrible hospitals are but I remembered quickly when I got there.
I was poked at and stuck with needles,left alone for long periods of time. I was touched in places I thought they would have to pay me to touch and then for some reason they decided that they wanted pee straight from the bladder and I got a catheter put into my tinkle place! NOOOOO!!!!! That hurt so bad I was like oh crap,if that feels like that,what is having this baby going to be like?? Drug me and put me to sleep please.
So, they let me come home from the hospital,thank God!I have to do more laying around which is crazy because I barely move anyway,I am the most lazy person I know.Damn,I just hate hospitals.I feel violated and sore.
Well, here is a cute tummy picture I found on the web. I like it and it cheers me up.I would even cheer up more if I could win some giveaways! My luck has not been so super lately but I sure know some wonderful people in my life and I have met some great Bloggy people too.I guess my luck is okay,just not perfect.

I went to the doctor today just to find out that my baby will have to come in three weeks or so.That is a month early!I have high blood pressure and they are worried about me and the baby although right now,it isn't hurting him at all.So, I have less time to get things ready. Scary!!!!!! I guess you are never ready but this is too soon.
I have not won any giveaways in a few days. Maybe my bad luck will bring me good luck??? That doesn't make any sense.
So, thats all I have to say today.

Blood pressure

I have been really worrying all day because my blood pressure is high nd I am very swollen. I have been battling this since I have become pregnant and I worry that I may be having PreEclampsia. I go to the doctor every week and they treat me like I am doing something to cause this but I am not. I may make myself go to the doctor tomorrow if some of this swelling doesn't go down.I don't want to take any chances,ya know?

The past couple of days everything has been going perfectly! I won a few blog contest that I am so excited about! I got famous people's autographs and just about everything has gone well.Today, I woke up unhappy and things seem off and I feel angry. I have had nothing bad happen to me today but I still don't feel at peace. Oh well, I guess I have some crazy pregnancy hormones!
Tomorrow I get to go get another Ultra Sound done and I am totally excited to see my little Jack again! I love getting a glimpse at him,it's like Christmas!!!!!I will put up my ultra sound picture when I get them.

Well, tonight my husband got to meet my most favorite tv people. The Roloff family from the show Little People Big world were in my town tonight and my husband got to play for them at the place where they were staying! He got Amy(the mom) to write me a note because I couldn't be there with being pregnant and so many mosquitoes being out.I am just thrilled! I am going to scan the Roloff family signatures for ya!Too bad the dad(matt) was not there and then I would have had a complete card of names!!!
The tv crew were there so lets hope that next season we can see Richard on the show!
Richard has played for famous people like Morgan Freeman and Jeff Daniels and tons of others before but this was special for me because I watch that show so much I think I am one of the Roloff's!

Man, it is so hot down here in Mississippi even though they say this has been a very cool year for us so far. For me, it is hell. I have all this extra weight to carry around andI just feel sweaty and gross.
